Queens Borough President’s Immigrant Resource Fair, Jamaica, Queens

Turning Point for Women and Families was happy to participate in Queens Borough President Donovan Richards “Day 2 of Borough Hall on Your Block” with NYC Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs and various other community based organizations!

Roe v Wade Rally

TPNY was proud to participate in this rally yesterday. Overturning #RoevWade has implications. According to the CDC, between 6% to 22% of women terminate their pregnancies because they are in an abusive relationship. A woman’s right to choose what happens to their bodies is imperative in ending #IPV.

TPNY’s 12th Annual ARISE NY! Anti-Bullying Summit

We would like to congratulate all the students who joined us on August 20th to learn about bias, discrimination, cyberbullying and how to be upstanders in the community!

We are so grateful for the expertise of Sam Yang of the New York City Commission on Human Rights and Council Member Shahana Hanif of District 39 who inspired our youth to make a difference and intervene if they see someone getting bullied!
