Shahida Pochi joined Turning Point for Women and Families as an Admin Assistant in March 2023. She has been a long-time volunteer with MANA (Memon Association of North America) and is currently serving the President of its Women’s Division. She has also worked with the Nassau County Asian American Affairs in aiding the safety and support of Asian Americans on Long Island. Her passion lies in ensuring that the community is a safe space for future generations and her goal is to use her resources and help those less fortunate at their time of need. She says “I am excited to join TPNY to find a purpose and be able to help as many people as I can.” Originally from Pakistan, Shahida has been living in the U.S for the past 25 years. She understand Punjabi and is fluent in written/spoken Urdu.
