Abdul Rahman joined Turning Point’s Board in February of 2023. For the last 7 years, Abdul has been working in the financial industry and is currently a SVP with BNY Mellon in Hedge Fund. Abdul joined the company in 2015 and has led the growth in becoming the largest managed account platform with over $35 billion in assets servicing over 100 funds. Abdul provides his experience with managing teams globally, performing risk and operations across multi-assets and multi-million valued portfolios, and enhancing the proprietary system to provide cutting-edge reports, data analytics, and risk models to help the firm’s clients.
Abdul has also helped launched and scale the Muslim Entrepreneur Association (MEA), a platform dedicated to helping Muslim Professionals and Entrepreneurs all over the world. Recently, during the pandemic, MEA launched its virtual incubator connecting professionals, students and entrepreneurs all over the world. The organization was recognized by NYC’s Mayor Eric Adams for leading community relief efforts during the pandemic and received the Covid Hero Award.
Abdul is politically very active and ran for the office of Judicial Delegate in 2022 and works on policies to combat Anti-Muslim and South Asian rhetoric. Abdul has a BBA in Finance and Economics from Queens College (2015) where he currently serves on the Technology, Business Advisory and Alumni Boards
